About Me
I am a Cuban-born drummer and percussionist who has played in
a wide variety of genres, including jazz, Latin, rock, funk, R&B, and pop. I have performed all over the world, including Latin America, Asia, and Cuba.
I graduated from the School Art Félix Varela and the Faculty Vicente Ponce Carrasco. I also taught drumming and percussion at the International School of Cuba CENSEA and have given workshops in South America, Central America, and Singapore.
I also play with a number of artists, including Klimax, Bryan Lynch, Chucho Valdes, Amadito Valdes, Teresita Garcia Caturla, Emilio Morales, Carlos Varela, Kelvis Ochoa, David Torrens, Sergio Mendes, Jorge Luis Crego, Julio Padron, Cesar Lopez, Alexis Bosch, Omara Portuondo, Steve Thorton, Lion King The Musical in Singapore Production of 2011, Eugene Hideaway Bridges, and Kho Mr Sax Man.
I have also also recorded with Alexis Bosch, Joseph Koumbas, and Doc Weiss.

This trio fuses adventurous bass playing, aggressive yet sensitive piano and rock solid drum beats into a blend of cinematic jazz fusion. Tokyo Blue reflects its own style; Each song tells a story and paints a picture through instrumental music.

Accompanied by the talents of Cuban drummer Pablo Calzado, vocalist Carlos Sendros, horn sections of Eddie Wen, Christophe Turchi and Marques Young, their unique and contemporary sound is an amalgamation of Afro-Latin rhythms, bomba, samba, bossa nova, Mexican and Cuban folkloric music.
